Sunset

After a busy week, I almost gave up the hope to take a few pictures. The cloud finally opened up to let sun coming in. Last minute sunset scene. I only had a few minutes for this.

Temecula Old Town

Temecula Old Town is one of the oldest town in Southern California. http://www.oldtowntemecula.com/.

We went there once a few years ago and there were not many people around. This time, the street was crowded.

A few miles east is the wine country, lots of wine yard. This season may not be good time to visit. Perhaps we will go back again during the summer.

I used my longer zoom and snapped a few quiet scenes trying to avoid the crowd.

Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead

Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead, located in Escondido, just a little north of Lake Hodges. More information can be found at http://www.sdrp.org/. Very interesting place to visit.

Broadway, San Diego

We don't go to downtown San Diego very often, especially walk on the street. I don't have any pictures of it so far.

This is the next day of Christmas Day, Jan 26, 2012. It was a chilly rainy morning. On the way for grocery shopping., I decided to drive through the Broadway and see what I would see. I was thinking to get out of my car and walk for a while, then changed my mind to just watch those in front of my car when I stopped at the red light.

At that particular cold early morning, there were more homeless people than I expected on the street.

Bernardo Winery

Bernardo Winery, located in Rancho Bernado, San Diego.  It perhaps the oldest winery in Southern California. I heard this place from our friend several years ago when we just moved to San Diego. I took a few pictures at that time and thought to go back for more, but never did until last year.

Later last year, 2012, I have been to the winery a few times. Every time, I was amazed by what I saw and never got disappointed. Just a wonderful place to have a walk, and for some good pictures.

When I search the internet for more background information and images, I saw a picture taken by a local professional photographer. Well, then I thought I would take a challenge to see if I could take something equally good or better.

This first one, the day I posted on 500px, it reached the popular, and of course one of my favorite photos.

2013 New Year Sunrise

First post.

Today, Jan 1st, 2013. Woke up at 4am and went to Mt Woodson for hiking. Great work out and very nice view along the hiking trail.
